Lady Senators’ ‘dream’ season comes to a close
The Norris Middle School softball team saw its 2024 season come to an end recently with a loss to Ooltewah in the sectional tournament.
The Lady Senators managed just three hits in their 6-2 loss to the Lady Owls on Tuesday, May 7.
Norris, which won its district tournament title had two of its hits go for extra bases as Ashton Thurman tripled and Jaycee Hunley doubled. Thurman also scored one of the Lady Senators’ runs.
Shyla Tindell had a hit for Norris as she went 1-for-3. Alice Ogan was 0-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored. Izzy Aullisio had two walks and drove in a run.
