Merit Award recipients Announced
Roane State Foundation recently awarded a total of 75 scholarships worth more than $67,000 to high school seniors from nearly 30 schools within the Roane State Community College service area.
The foundation’s Merit Awards are presented to students who have demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership, and/or athletics and who have at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
• Jaylynn Bullock, a graduate of Anderson County High School, was awarded the Gerald Moore Scholarship Endowment.
• Perryn Stout, a graduate of Anderson County High School, was awarded the AmSouth Bank Presidential Scholarship.
• Alexis Rush-Fredricks, a graduate of the Anderson County Innovation Academy, was awarded the James D. Christmas Presidential Scholarship Endowment.
• AndeLynn Lawson and Ariana Herrell, graduates of Clinton High School, were awarded the James D. Christmas Presidential Scholarship Endowment.
• Caiden Cutler and Kyle Garrett, graduates of Oak Ridge High School, were awarded the Murray and Mimi Rosenthal Scholarship Endowment Fund.
• Kaitlyn McMurray, a graduate of Oak Ridge High School, was awarded the Raider Fund Scholarship.
• Sara Nickell, a graduate of Midway High School, was awarded the Maurice K. and Sarah G. Williams Memorial Scholarship Endowment.
