Hundreds of Norris residents and friends turned out last Saturday evening for the seventh-annual Norris Summer Picnic on the Commons.

The event included live music, lawn games, water fun, food trucks, face-painting, and a bounce house with inflatable slide for the kids.

Sponsored by the Norris Recreation Commission, the event took place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in front of Norris Middle School and in the Lions Club Pavilion.

Live music from the stage next to the pavilion included performances by the Clinch River Ramblers and The Tenos.

This is one of several events presented each year by the Norris Recreation Commission, which is part of the Norris city government.
