All-way stop ‘justified’ at Ridgeview, Unaka
Clinton is still looking toward putting an all-way stop at the intersection of Ridgeview Drive and Unaka Street in South Clinton.
City Manager Roger Houck told the City Council Aug. 26 that a study showed the all-way stop “can be warranted and justified.”
The study came after residents approached the council with concerns about the intersection’s danger.
He said he’d requested the city’s engineer to provide an installation plan including advanced warning signs for the intersection.
That plan was not finished, however, and the council took no vote on the proposal at the meeting.
