Nine Anderson County High School volleyball players received All-District 4-AA honors as the league’s coaches selected the all-district team, which was announced last week.

Seniors Shelby Kelly and Alyssa Meier were named Co-Offensive Players of the Year. Kelly and Meier were also selected to the all-district team, along with Bethany Lowe, Kenzie Wilkerson, and Emerie Bullock.

Khloe Wilkerson, Emmee Blackburn, Julia Owens, and Dakotah Berlin received honorable mention for the Lady Mavericks, who hosted the Region 2-AA tournament on Tuesday. They earned the right to host as District 4-AA tournament champions.

As the No. 2 seed, Anderson County won the district championship with victories over South-Doyle and top-seeded Alcoa on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at home.
