South Clinton Elementary School students honored veterans with several presentations including reports, speeches, singing, xylophones, drums and a symbolic table at an assembly on Monday Nov. 11, 2024. The presentations focused on honoring veterans and the history of Veterans Day. A group of veterans sat to the side of their presentations and applauded along with the students and staff. The assembly was the last of three for students, with the first two being at Clinton and North Clinton elementary schools. “They are all wonderful programs that not only honor veterans, but teach patriotism in our students,” said Clinton Director of Schools Kelly Johnson.
