Anderson County, Clinton players earn All-Region 2-AA soccer honors
The Anderson County and Clinton girls’ soccer teams both concluded successful 2024 seasons, with several players from each team earning All-Region 2-AA honors.
Lady Mavericks Coach Chris Curtin was named Coach of the Year, and Emma Leander was named Regional Most Valuable Player.
Zoey Rose earned Defender of the Year honors, while Emily Martin was named Goalkeeper of the Year.
Curtin guided the Lady Mavericks to both the District 4-AA and Region 2-AA Tournament championships.
Anderson County completed a perfect run through the district schedule to win the league’s regular-season title.
Clinton had its best season in program history, finishing as runners-up in both the district regular-season standings and the district tournament.
The Lady Dragons also made their first region tournament appearance in school history.
Clinton’s Elly Leander was named the region’s Attacker of the Year.
Anderson County had five players named to the First-Team All-Region. Olivia Madron, Bralee Hall, Roxanna Aguilar, Megan Shock, and Millie Swisher.
ACHS also had two players, Morgan Haire and Emma App, earn second-team honors.
Clinton’s Sadie Haney and Addie Haney were named to the first team, while Topanga Easterday and Riley Sharp received second-team honors.
