Senators’ Lawson propels Norris past Jacksboro

Lawson tallied 41 points to lead the Senators to a 63-43 victory at home.
Bentley Ellis also reached double figures with 14 points, while Cooper Downs chipped in eight for Norris. The Senators led 17-11 after the first quarter.
Lawson started hot, scoring 11 points in the opening frame.
He and Downs, who hit a pair of 3-pointers, accounted for all of Norris’ first-quarter offense.
Lawson added seven points in the second quarter, eight in the third, and 15 in the final period.
He finished with six 3-pointers, helping Norris outscore Jacksboro 32-20 in the second half.
Lady Senators Fall
The Norris Middle School girls basketball team fell to Jacksboro 49-12 at home Thursday night.
Avery Goehring led the Lady Senators with five points.
Addison Willoughby and Addie Blevins scored three points each.
Jayden Mooney added one point.
