Stewart scores 19, Lady Wildcats remain undefeated
Oak Ridge High School’s girls basketball team returned to the court after an extended break on Monday night and defeated cross-county rival Clinton, 56-38, at Wildcat Arena.
Ze’Yana Stewart led the Lady Wildcats with a game-high 19 points, scoring 10 in the first half. Oak Ridge remained undefeated, improving to 4-0 on the young 2024-25 season.
Stewart was one of four Lady Wildcats to score in double figures. Jenna Johnson added 16 points, 10 of which came before halftime. Ayana Porter finished with 14 points, scoring eight after the break. Oak Ridge led 19-14 after the first quarter and extended its advantage to 30-22 by halftime.
The Lady Wildcats pulled away with a 16-6 run in the third quarter.
Lanee Carmichael was the only Clinton player to reach double digits, finishing with 15 points. Allie York contributed nine points, and Addi Gamble added seven.
