Veterans breakfast scheduled for Dec. 14

Military veterans from Anderson County are invited to the upcoming community Veterans Breakfast, a monthly event honoring veterans and their service.

This month’s breakfast is co-sponsored by Comfort Keepers and Rusty Wallace Chevrolet in Clinton and will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at the Clinton Community Center, 101 S. Hicks St., Clinton.

The chow line opens at 8:30 a.m., followed by a brief program at 9 a.m. honoring veterans and featuring Christmas activities.

The Veterans Breakfasts aim to recognize and honor local veterans and their families for their service to the United States. Anderson County residents and community volunteers work together to host these free monthly events, which provide veterans of all ages and branches an opportunity to share fellowship and stories. Veterans are encouraged to bring spouses, family, or friends.

The city of Clinton is a special sponsor, providing the monthly venue and setup. Local media are also recognized for their role in informing veterans about the breakfast each month.

Generous donors contribute regular monthly door prizes.
