Hammers Hardwood Classic tips off Thursday at ACHS, ORHS
Three local venues will host games this week in the Hammers Hardwood Classic, a premier high school basketball tournament organized by 5 Star Preps.
Both the boys and girls teams from Anderson County High School and Oak Ridge High School will participate in the event, which begins Thursday.
Anderson County High School will serve as a primary host, with games played there all three days.
Norris Middle School will also host two games on Saturday, the final day of the tournament.
The action kicks off Thursday at 4 p.m. at Anderson County, with the Knoxville Halls girls facing Clarkrange.
At 5:30 p.m., the Lady Mavericks will take on Concord Christian School.
Pickett County will play Lenoir City in a boys game at 6:45 p.m., and the Mavericks will close the night against McMinn County at 8 p.m.
Anderson County will host second-round games on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m.
Games at Norris Middle School will also begin at 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
Oak Ridge High School will host games Thursday at Wildcat Arena.
The Lady Wildcats will play Sevier County at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Bradley Central boys taking on Sevier County at 6:45 p.m.
The Oak Ridge boys will face Page at 8 p.m.
On Friday and Saturday, both Oak Ridge teams will play at Webb School of Knoxville.
