Located at 1107 Clinch Ave., Three Sisters has reopened as a thrift store for now, but will be adding fresh produce as the growing season begins, Shackleford said.
Her father, Jeff Shackleford, is in partnership with Chrissy Tillman in the new venture, which is in the building that held Kim’s Pallet Treasures until it closed recently.
“We will be doing thrift-store merchandise and pallets until summer comes, then will also be selling produce,” she said.
The business will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, she said.
“My dad will be selling thrift-store stuff, such as clothing, shoes and purses, and there will be cooking stuff and other pallet merchandise,” Shackleford said.
Her sisters include her twin, Haylee, and Christa.
The original Three Sisters Produce & More was at 1110 Clinch Avenue, between Taylor Plumbing and Shylocks Pawn.
Jeff Shackelford named the store in honor of his three daughters, all of whom have helped out in the business.
When it was in business before, Three Sisters bought most of its produce from the Asheville, North Carolina, area, with tomatoes from Grainger County, Tennessee.
The store also plans to sell nuts, candles, honey, molasses, local jams and jellies, several types of bagged candy, and more.
