Free received the honor during the association’s annual preseason clinic in Franklin.
The 2024 season was historic for Oak Ridge, which made its first state tournament appearance in more than 50 years.
The Wildcats posted a 28-15-1 record, setting a school record for wins in a single season.
Oak Ridge finished as the Region 2-4A runner-up and secured a trip to the state tournament in Murfreesboro by winning two out of three games in a state sectional series at Sevier County.
