Clements brothers fuel Oak Ridge’s fast start
Oak Ridge High School’s boys soccer team picked up a pair of District 3-AAA wins last week, taking two out of three matches.
The Wildcats (3-5-1 overall, 2-0 in the district) capped the stretch with a hard-fought 3-2 loss to visiting Alcoa on Saturday.
Daniel Perez-Rodriguez and Ayden Clements scored for Oak Ridge in the setback against the Tornadoes.
On Thursday, the Wildcats blanked Karns 2-0 in a district tilt at home.
Ayden Clements and Andrew Clements each netted goals against the Beavers.
Oak Ridge opened the week with a 3-2 victory over Knoxville Halls on Tuesday, March 25. Clements, Seth Blair and Evan Cantu all tallied goals against the Red Devils.
The Wildcats were scheduled to host Campbell County in a district match on senior night Tuesday. Results were unavailable at press time.
Oak Ridge will welcome Chattanooga Baylor on Thursday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
