County announces holiday weekend schedule changes
Anderson County government has announced schedule changes related to this weekend’s Easter holiday.
The county’s administrative offices in the courthouse and other locations will be closed Friday and Saturday, April 18 and 19, in observance of the holiday weekend.
But trash convenience centers will be open normal hours on Friday and Saturday. Regular hours are from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, and 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday.
However, the Blockhouse Valley Recycling Facility, at 1480 Blockhouse Valley Road in Clinton, will be closed to the public on Friday and Saturday, as will the Anderson County Animal Shelter, which is at the same location.
The Anderson County Commission sets the county’s holiday schedule each year. The holiday will not affect emergency services.
