Anderson County, Clinton, Oak Ridge baseball players named to All-Region list

All three local high school baseball teams had players honored when Tennessee Baseball Report recently released its postseason awards.

Anderson County, Clinton and Oak Ridge each had players named to the outlet’s All-Region 2 Team.

The ACHS Mavericks, who reached the Class AAA state tournament in Murfreesboro, were represented by Alex Bond.

He also earned a spot on the All-2-Way Team after hitting .389 with six home runs and 32 RBIs. Bond added 12 doubles and two triples. On the mound, he went 6-1 with a 2.58 ERA, walking 28 and striking out 59.

Anderson County sophomore Nolan Benson, the District 4-AAA Newcomer of the Year, was named to Tennessee Baseball Report’s Super Sophomore Team.

Clinton, which went 15-20 under first-year Coach Eric Hart, had Alex Duggins and Jake Rittenberry named to the all-region team.

Oak Ridge, which reached the Class 4A state tournament for the second-consecutive season in 2025, had four players earn all-region recognition: Kam Welch, Mikee Teasley, Parker Free and Warren East.

Teasley, a junior and University of Tennessee commitment, was also selected to the All-2-Way Team. He hit .392 with 25 extra-base hits, including eight home runs, 15 doubles and two triples, and drove in 40 runs.

On the mound, Teasley went 8-2 with two shutouts and a 1.39 ERA. He recorded 125 strikeouts.

Free and East were also named to the Super Sophomore Team.
