To the editor,
Three years ago, we built a house in Norris because we believed it would be a good place to live. It felt a little like Mayberry. It is now disheartening to read that the Norris City Council (under the “leadership” of Mayor Chris Mitchell) has folded to the whims of the mob from Oak Ridge and the grotesque Anderson County Democrat Party.
As a result, Norris no longer feels like Mayberry. It feels like a place that does not value the rule of law or public safety. It feels like a place that acquiesces to (and enables) criminals over the best interests of the tax-paying citizens. I find it amazing that liberals never consider results and/or consequences of their bad decisions. It is a moral and ethical failure of epic proportions, and it negatively impacts every taxpaying law-abiding citizen in incalculable ways.
Due to rampant illegal immigration in America over the last three decades, our schools and hospitals (and emergency rooms) are now packed and have been compromised to the Nth degree. Open borders have taken America to the precipice of ruin, and countless citizens are grief stricken over the deaths of their relatives and friends at the hands of MS13 and Tren de Aragua.
It is estimated that approximately 100,000 Americans are now dying annually from the scourge of fentanyl pushed by the gangs and drug cartels. Evidently this carnage and suffering is just fine with the Norris City Council and the Anderson County Democrat Party.
And one last thing, just why is the Oak Ridge mob (controlled by the Anderson County Democrat Party) packing a Norris City Council meeting and intimidating the Norris City Council?
I stand with ICE and the men and women in blue. It is sad that the Norris City Council stands with gangs, cartels and illegal immigrants over the citizenry.
Please call me at 865-705-8333 if anyone knows what the process would be for impeaching Norris Mayor Chris Mitchell and the Norris City Council. As for the Anderson County Democrat party, there is no hope for individuals who embrace criminality, chaos and demise over sanity and self-preservation. Even when results are clearly evident, some people never learn.
