The city of Oak Ridge is offering a soul line dance and exercise class from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. every Tuesday at the Scarboro Community Center 148 Carver Ave.

Oak Ridge Festival June 21
Oak Ridge’s Scarboro Community will have a Juneteenth Festival from 3 until 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, at Scarboro Community Center, 148 Carver Ave., across from Oak Ridge Schools Preschool. Activities include bounce houses, gospel choirs from local churches, a variety of food vendors and more.

Tickets are on sale for the Department of Energy’s public facilities bus tour on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Guests will depart from the museum at 8:30 a.m. and need a federally approved photo ID. The tour will operate until late November, although Oct. 20, 23 and 24 are reserved for Nuclear Science Week. hold indoor yard sale July 19
Have you always dreamed of cleaning out your attic, your garage or your kids’ closets and making a few dollars in the process but you just don’t have an ideal location?
Well, here is your chance. For one day only, Saturday, July 19, the city of Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Department is hosting an indoor yard sale. It will take place in the Oak Ridge Recreation Center Gym, 1403 Oak Ridge Turnpike.
The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and it’s free to come in and shop.
“We are looking for sellers. Spaces can be reserved for $15 and you can get up to two spaces, while they are available,” Recreation Assistant Metillda Jackson said in a news release from the city.
