Notaro’s clutch hit seals sweep of Falcons
After a two-week break, the Coal Creek 18U baseball team returned to action with a pair of victories last week.
Coal Creek capped the week with a 5-4 walk-off win over the Christenberry Falcons on Friday night.
Landon Notaro lifted Coal Creek to the win with a walk-off RBI single — his only hit of the game.
Daniel Uthank went 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs scored. Kris Pelliccio also went 2-for-2, driving in two runs and swiping three bases. Lee Goins had a hit and two RBIs.
In the series opener against Christenberry, Coal Creek rolled to an 11-1 win.
Hayden Ault pitched a complete game, allowing one run on one hit and two walks over four innings. He struck out three Falcons.
Jackson Harris had two hits, two RBIs and a run scored. Landry Sharp was 2-for-2 with two RBIs, a run scored and two stolen bases.
Blake Lowe went 1-for-1 with two steals, two runs and an RBI. Goins added a triple, an RBI and a run scored.
