Anderson County, Oak Ridge to compete in annual KIL jamboree

The Anderson County Lady Mavericks girls’ soccer teams will compete in the KIL pre-season jamboree on Saturday, July 26, at Knox West High School and the University of Tennessee recreational fields.
Anderson County and Oak Ridge will each have varsity and junior varsity teams participating in the event.
Games will be held at Bill Wilson Field, home of the West High School Lady Rebels, and at the University of Tennessee Recreational Fields, located adjacent to West High School.
In addition to match play, athletes will have a chance to display their talents in a skills competition, scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
Anderson County’s JV team will meet Webb School of Knoxville at 10 a.m. on the UT field. After the skills competition, the Lady Mavericks will face Concord Christian School at 12:30 p.m., followed by the varsity team’s match against Concord at 1 p.m.
The Lady Mavs’ varsity team will also close out the jamboree with a final game at 2 p.m. All Anderson County games will be held on the UT field.
Oak Ridge’s junior varsity squad will face West at 8 a.m. on the West football field, followed by a match against Hardin Valley Academy’s JV at 8:30 a.m. on the UT field.
The Lady Wildcats’ varsity team will take on Hardin Valley at 9 a.m. on the UT field and then face Knoxville Catholic at 9:30 a.m.
