CLINTON, OAK RIDGE PETRO’S CLOSE
Four area Petro’s Chili & Chips franchised locations, including this one at 2217 N. Charles G. Seivers Blvd. in Clinton, were closed “indefinitely” as of the end of the day July 31, according to signs on their doors and an announcement by the parent company. The other three that closed were in Oak Ridge, Powell and Seymour. The company’s notice said that plans are being considered to reopen the Powell location, on Emory Road, as a company store, but no decision had been finalized as of Tuesday. The Oak Ridge store is at 229 S. Illinois Ave. All the other Petro’s locations throughout the Knoxville area are company stores, and remain open and in business, the company said.
