The Smoky Mountain Anchor Division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps held a wreath-laying ceremony at the Service and Sacrifice Monument Sunday, Oct. 12, in honor of the Navy’s 250th birthday. Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank delivered a message praising the cadets and recognizing the Navy’s anniversary.
