Back by popular demand, the second-annual Rocky Top Christmas Market Crawl has been scheduled for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29.

The event will take place in the downtown area, which has been growing with new businesses and restaurants over the past five years.

“Our town truly has so much to offer,” said Maria Hooks, co-owner of South Main Furniture & Mercantile and executive director of the Rocky Top Chamber of Commerce.

“From unique home decor finds and locally crafted items to delicious food and specialty coffees, we have something for everyone,” she said.

Besides her store, other downtown businesses and venues taking part in the event will include the Coal Creek Miners Museum; Grumpa Bear BBQ; In Its Time Antiques; Coal Creek General Store; Thrifty Treasures antiques and home décor; Coal Creek Coffee; and the new Lings Cafe, which opened recently next door to Coal Creek Coffee.

There also will be outside vendors who will set up tables in several locations, including the parking lot between South Main Furniture & Mercantile and Truest Bank, and several food trucks or trailers.

Santa Claus will be on hand to visit with children inside some of the stores.

Attendees will get a free treat at each business they visit.

Cards will be handed out to visitors, and each business will sign the cards for chances to win door prizes.

“Bring the whole family and make it a day to remember,” Hooks said.
