Student actors sought for history project

The Secret in Scarboro, an educational project, is looking for actors.

This project will be a re-enactment of what living in Scarboro was like in the late 1950s and early ‘60s through dramatization and experiences of 85 students who were the first African Americans to integrate schools in the Southeast, an announcement stated.

Some roles for students to perform remain.

Interested students may provide email addresses and parents’ names and contact information to be considered for remaining roles.

E-mail the information to Rose Weaver, rs_wvr@yahoo.com or call 865-924-2987 for more details about the tryouts and information meeting.
