Clinton Library events
These events will take place at the Clinton Public Library, 118 South Hicks Street.
The library will be closed for Martin Luther King Day on Jan. 19 and for inventory Jan. 20-24.
Any programs typically running on those days will not be meeting.
Children’s events
Family Storytime will be on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. There will be weekly stories, songs and a matching craft revolving around a theme for pre-kindergarten through early elementary ages.
Younger and older siblings are also welcome. The themes are Jan. 7, Cozy; Jan. 14, Winter; and Jan. 28, Snow Day. The library will be closed on Jan. 21.
Book babies will be on Thursdays at 10 a.m. featuring weekly songs and stories for children ages birth through two. The themes will be Jan. 8, Cozy; Jan. 15, Winter; and Jan. 29, Snow Day. The library will be closed on Jan. 22.
Music and Movement will be on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
Join to dance and make some noise.
All Ages
United Way Mobile Office will be from 9 a.m. until noon on Thursday Jan. 8. A representative from United Way will be at a table in the library to assist community members.
Computer Class will be on Friday, Jan 16, at noon. Join to talk and learn about social media.
Lego Club will be on Thursdays at 4 p.m.
Join to free build with LEGOs that the library will provide.
The event is for all ages, although it is recommended for elementary and under.
Supplies will be provided.
Teens
Teen Space will be on Wednesdays at 2:15 p.m. Come hang out with friends, play Wii games, eat snacks and have a good time.
Adults
Adult Crafty Friday will be on Friday, Jan. 9 at 5:30 p.m. Sign up online or at the front desk to make jam jar bird feeders.
Clinch River Needleworkers will meet on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. for a few hours each time. The group is for anyone interested in a needle-based craft such as knitting, tatting and crocheting. 00It is open to new members.
Tennessee History Program will be on Mondays at 10 a.m.
Join as the group moves county by county through local Tennessee history.
