All these events will be at the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge, 461 West Outer Drive.
Weekly events
On Tuesdays from 10 a.m. until noon will be Toddler Playtime in the Preschool Room
On Wednesdays from 1 until 4 p.m. Crafty Wednesday will be in the Craft and Science Room.
On Thursdays from 10 a.m. until noon will be Musical Morning in the Music Room.
America 250 Coloring Contest Through Jan. 15
Children ages 10 and younger are invited to enter CMOR’s America 250 Coloring Contest featuring Charlie the Curious Bear. Find more information and the coloring sheet at childrensmuseumofoakridge.org.
Flattop House Day, Sunday, Jan. 18, 1-4 p.m.
Visit the historic B-1 Flattop House, an authentic example of housing for Manhattan Project workers and their families.
The Flattop House is an add-on experience to a regular Children’s Museum visit.
Charlie’s Book Club, Sunday, Feb. 1, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
February’s book for children ages 6-10 is now available: “Black Inventors: 15 Inventions that Changed the World” by Kathy Trusty.
One book per child while supplies last.
