Phillips running for District 1 seat

Neil Phillips
At 61, Neil is stepping forward with decades of real-world experience and a deep-rooted dedication to public service, he said.
Now retired from a career as a journeyman lineman, he has spent years giving back to the community — including 11 years as a volunteer firefighter and four years serving as a sheriff’s reserve deputy.
“Serving this community has always been important to me,” Neil said. “Whether it was responding to emergencies or supporting law enforcement, I’ve always believed in stepping up when it matters most. Now, I’m ready to continue that service in a new way.”
His campaign centers on strong, steady leadership and a focus on issues that matter most to local families.
Key priorities include:
• Protecting taxpayers through responsible, transparent spending
• Supporting law enforcement and first- responders
• Managing growth wisely while preserving the county’s character
As a father of two daughters and grandfather to a grandson and granddaughter, Neil said his vision for the county’s future is deeply personal. “I believe our county’s best days are still ahead,” he said. “But it’s going to take thoughtful leadership, fiscal responsibility, and a willingness to listen to the people who call this place home.”
Known for his steady leadership, strong values, and willingness to put others first, Neil is running a campaign built on integrity, service and community. He says his decision to run was driven by a desire to “give back to the community that has given so much” to his family.
“This isn’t about politics,” he said. “It’s about doing what’s right for our community and making sure our county stays a safe, strong place to live and raise a family.”
“I’ve served this community before — and I’m ready to serve again,” Neil said. “Let’s move our county forward together.”
