Barnes-Anderson, Ghezawi graduate from Georgia
Courteney Barnes-Anderson of Oak Ridge and Jana Ghezawi of Rocky Top were among 9,477 students who met the requirements to participate in the University of Georgia’s spring 2026 commencement ceremonies.

Artrip receives
leadership award
at Alvernia
Josalyn Artrip of Oak Ridge received the Registered Student Organization President of the Year award during Alvernia University’s Student Leadership Recognition Luncheon. The ceremony recognizes students who have demonstrated leadership and service beyond the classroom.
Alvernia University is in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Local students make President’s
List at Cumberlands
Autumn Carroll of Andersonville; Jayce Braden, Isaac Childers and Ashley Mayes of Clinton; Nicholas Goodwin of Heiskell; and Jasmine Hembry and Bobby Lewis of Oak Ridge have been named to the University of the Cumberlands President’s List for the spring 2026 semester.
To earn the honor, students must maintain a 4.0 GPA while meeting additional academic requirements. The University of the Cumberlands is in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Local students earn Cumberlands Dean’s List honors
Matthew Clayton and Joshua Valero of Clinton, Aaron Barnes of Oak Ridge and Taylor Davis of Rocky Top have been named to the University of the Cumberlands Dean’s List for the spring 2026 semester.
To earn the honor, students must maintain a semester GPA of at least 3.5 while meeting additional academic requirements.
The University of the Cumberlands is in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Caleb Birchfield of Briceville; Kimberly Cardall, Cole Carpenter, Caden John and Joshua Lloyd of Clinton; Sarah Carlson, Adian Gould and Madison Lowe of Andersonville; and Ginieya Anderson, Donovan Black, Nikki Brewster, Maria Cacheiro, Chloe Gadson, Helen Harmon, Brian Miller, Liam Ruff-Miller and Mary Yaun of Oak Ridge were among the 2,061 graduates in East Tennessee State University’s Class of 2026.
