Throughout the month, Gray promoted the nutritional benefits of dairy products while encouraging residents to support dairy farmers in the surrounding region.
Although Anderson County no longer has active dairy farms, Gray noted that several family-owned dairies continue to operate in neighboring communities.
“When we choose real dairy products, we aren’t just getting a nutritional powerhouse,” Gray said. “We are actively investing in our neighbors and helping keep our regional agricultural heritage alive.”
Gray invited residents to learn more about dairy farming and dairy nutrition by following the “Anderson County 4-H June Dairy Month” Facebook page, where she has been sharing information about dairy production and ways to support local farm families.
“Together, let’s show our appreciation for the dedication, early mornings and hard work of our local dairy farmers,” Gray said.
