McNabb announces commission campaign

McNabb was appointed to the commission on Oct. 20, 2025, to fill a vacant seat. Since taking office, he said he has focused on public safety, fiscal responsibility and preserving the quality of life in District 1.
“I am honored to have been appointed to serve the people of District 1, and I am asking for their vote to continue that service,” McNabb said in the announcement.
McNabb said responsible development is his top priority.
“We want our community to grow and thrive, but we must do it in a way that protects our character, respects our infrastructure, and preserves the identity that makes Brushy Valley, Bull Run and Claxton special,” he said.
According to the announcement, McNabb’s accomplishments while serving on the commission include:
• Instituting a ban on roadside panhandling at Edgemoor Road to improve public safety.
• Leading an effort to establish a two-year moratorium on data centers.
• Voting to fully fund law enforcement, first responders and teachers.
• Serving on the Budget and Audit committees.
McNabb holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Middle Tennessee State University and has served for 15 years as director of misdemeanor probation for PSI.
He and his wife, Terri, have two children, Keaton and Adalynn, who attend Anderson County public schools.
McNabb is one of the Republican nominees for the District 1 seat.
