Library Events compiled by Ben Pounds

The Clinton Public Library is at 118 S. Hicks St.

It is closed on Sunday and open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It opens at 11:30 a.m. on the second Friday of every month.

All ages

• Computer class will be on Sept. 18 at noon. Talk about accessibility options on smartphones and computers.

• Tinker Thursday will be at 4 p.m.

Try building with many types of toys.

There will be challenges to try, and free build options.

• Read to a Dog will be Mondays at 4 p.m.

Meet Walter, a Human Animal Bond in Tennessee (HABIT) certified dog and help read a story to him in the children’s area.

• Trading Card Saturday will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday Sept. 12.

Bring cards of any kind and talk with the group.

Children

• Family Storytime will be on Wednesdays at 10 a.m.

Join for weekly themed stories, songs and a matching craft for pre-K through early elementary ages.

Younger and older siblings are also welcome.

Themes are: Sept. 9, grandparents; Sept. 16, pianos; Sept. 23. rabbits; and Sept. 30, autumn.

• Book babies is on Thursdays at 10 a.m.

Join for weekly themed stories and songs for ages birth to 2.

Themes: Sept. 3, chickens; Sept. 10, grandparents; Sept. 17, pianos; and Sept. 24, rabbits.

• Music and Movement will be on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Dance and make some noise.

• Pajama Storytime will be Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. Come in pajamas for a story before bedtime.

Teens

• Teen Space will be on Wednesdays at 2:15 p.m. Come hang out with friends, play Wii games and eat snacks.

Adult events

• Adult Crafty Friday will be on Sept. 18 at 5:30 p.m.

• Adult Book Club will be Sept. 19 at 1:30 p.m. and will keep meeting on third Saturdays. Choose a book related to the theme “Cozy Mysteries” to discuss. October’s theme will be “Something Supernatural.”

• Clinch River Needleworkers will be on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. Join to work on textile projects. The group is open to new members.

• Tennessee History Program will meet on Mondays at 10 a.m.

Join to move county by county through local Tennessee history.
