Golladay pursues District 3

“I’m Anna Golladay and I’m running for TN’s third district because I want to return empathy and moral courage to our politics,” Golladay stated in a press release. “To fight for the dignity of every person in our state.”
Golladay described herself as a small-business owner, former pastor, neighborhood organizer and a woman who understands the importance of family and community.
“And because I’m tired of our politicians getting paid to do nothing,” Golladay said. The incumbent “hasn’t held a town hall since his first term fifteen years ago. He sees District 3 as a means to a personal end, rather than caring about the folks he is representing.”
“It’s time for change,” she said.
Golladay said her policy priorities include imposing a wealth tax on billionaires, increasing the minimum wage and addressing the rising cost of living.
“Our groceries, gas, and cost of living are making life too expensive for most of us,” she stated.
Golladay said she also supports increased funding for scientific research and greater community participation and transparency in data center development. She said environmental protection should be fully prioritized.
Her other priorities include funding health care in the district to help prevent hospital closures and improve access to affordable, quality care. She also said she would advocate for rural communities, including reliable infrastructure and fully funded resources.
“District 3 deserves a leader who won’t take us for granted,” Golladay stated. “We deserve more than just indifference.”
Golladay said she would work to restore accountability and town halls to the district’s congressional representation.
“Let’s bring back accountability and town halls in our leadership – and elect someone willing to fight for everyone in Southeast Tennessee,” she said.
