The Wednesday Club opened its 2026-27 year Sept. 2 with a meeting in the Hearth Room at First Baptist Church in Clinton. President Delaine McGhee opened the meeting with a candle memorial honoring club members who have died. She was assisted by Becky Rosenbaum, Zora Bivens and Karen Cary. Organized in 1942 to promote civic betterment with an emphasis on youth, the Wednesday Club continues its tradition of supporting the Clinton community through donations to local schools and organizations. - Submitted
