The club is one of two new Republican women’s organizations in Anderson County. Unlike other Republican groups, the Christian Republican Women’s Club operates independently and focuses on how biblical values apply to government and contemporary issues.
Although the organization supports the Republican platform, it is not affiliated with other Republican organizations. Its stated mission is to “do good by peaceful means for stronger, more conservative government.”
The meeting will feature a Christian devotion presented by Debbie Heaton, followed by a review of election results by Myra Mansfield.
Former state Rep. John Ragan will be the guest speaker, discussing the Tennessee Blue Book, a publication produced every two years by the state. The book provides information about Tennessee government, history and civics.
The meeting will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the restaurant’s private dining room at 1625 Oak Ridge Highway, between Clinton and Oak Ridge.
The public is invited to attend. Lunch will be available for purchase.
