Tony Kurt Price, 57, Clinton went home to be with his heavenly father Monday, May 25, 2020, at his residence.
Tony was born Dec. 17, 1962, in Gatlinburg and was a member of Second Baptist Church. Tony was a world-class welder at Senior Flexonics Pathway Division for many years. Tony loved spending time with his family and being Papaw to his sweet granddaughter. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing golf and watching the Tennessee Vols.
Tony is survived by: Devoted wife of 37 years, Jane Price of Clinton; son, Nicholas Price and wife Ariel of Heiskell; daughter, Laura Kaitlyn Viles and husband Josh of Richmond, Va.; grandchild, Adalyn Price; mother, Betty Ann Blalock of Sevierville; father, Loy Price and wife Audrey of Gatlinburg; brothers, Keith Price and wife Roberta of Lenoir City, Roger Price and wife Lewayne of Dandridge, Ronnie Price and wife Julie of Beaverton, Ore., Scott Price and wife Sherry of Gatlinburg; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Mike Laverdieve
The family received friends from 5–7 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with services following in the chapel.
His graveside service was at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2020, at Grandview Memorial Garden.

Lloyd Lough, 78, of the Frost Bottom Community, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 24, 2020, at his home.
Lloyd was born October 26, 1941, in Oliver Springs. He was a longtime member of the former Frost Bottom Missionary Baptist Church. Lloyd was locally known for working as a self-employed re-upholsterer for more than 40 years.
He was preceded in death by: Parents, Mikey Lough and Eva Lena Smith Lough; sisters, Helen Brown, Gladys Hensley, and Esther Parks; brothers, Leon Lough, Alvin Lough, and Luke Lough; niece and nephews, Lillian Brown, Little Mikey Lough, Brian Strickland, and Ivan Q. Parks Jr.
Lloyd is survived by: Brother, Albert Lough and wife Lillie Fay; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Serena with Amedisys Hospice for the care that was shown to Lloyd.

GLORIA LANE PIERCE

Gloria Lane Pierce, 82, Oak Ridge, went home peacefully to be with her Lord Saturday, May 23, 2020, after many years of living with dementia.
She was born June 14, 1937, in Big Four, W.Va., to James Edward and Minnie Alice Copeland Lane. After completing high school in Welch, W.Va., she earned an A.A. in secretarial science from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Va.
She moved to Oak Ridge in 1957 where she worked at the K-25 Gaseous Diffusion Plant. She met and married her husband, Gerald, at Glenwood Baptist Church in Oak Ridge where they are long-time members. She and Gerald also served almost 31 years at Clear Branch Baptist in Lake City. After raising her family, Gloria returned to work as a church secretary, first at Calvary Baptist Oak Ridge for three years and then at Glenwood Baptist Oak Ridge for 19 years.
Gloria was known for her smile that would instantly make you know you were loved and welcomed. She served her churches as a choir member, G.A. leader, and Sunday school teacher. She cherished working with young people and had a heart for missions; that same loving heart led her to help other church members, especially elderly and absent ones. If she saw a need, she stepped in and filled it. Gloria loved to sing and found great joy in flowers, especially daisies and irises.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, Melvin.
Left to cherish her faithful and loving memory are: Husband, Gerald; children, Edward (Jessica) Pierce, Randall Pierce, and Nancy Pierce; siblings, Claude (Janice) Lane, Nancy (Don) Lane, Robert (Janet) Lane, and Joel (Wanda) Lane; sister-in-law, Pearl Lane; grandchildren, Julia and Elliot Pierce; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Family and friends met at Glenwood Baptist Church, Oak Ridge, Thursday, May 28, 2020, for visitation at noon, and funeral at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mark Walton of Glenwood Baptist, Oak Ridge, and Pastor Robert Lane of Harbour Light Baptist, Princeton, W.Va., officiating.
Interment followed at Anderson Memorial Gardens.

Mary Lena Moneymaker Vowell, 84, Clinton went home to be with her heavenly father May 23, 2020.
She was an active member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Clinton AARP group, and enjoyed planning and attending the Clinton High School Class of 1954 reunions. She loved to work in her flower garden, go fishing, picnics, cook big meals and bake special treats for her family. Mary retired from Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge after 25 years as a switchboard operator and later returned as a volunteer. She was born May 3, 1936, in Anderson County to Clyde and Ethel Moneymaker.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: Husband, Bill Vowell; daughter, Amy Sue Vowell; sister, Sue Foster.
She is survived by: Children, Tim Vowell and wife Kim of Knoxville, Scott Vowell and wife Debbie of Knoxville, Maria Loomis and husband Scott of Kingsport; grandchildren, Autumn Sanderson and husband Mark of Knoxville, Lyndsey Ducheney and husband D.J. of Knoxville, Kaci Comford and husband Taylor of Knoxville, Allison Turner and husband John Adam of McMinnville, Madison Loomis of Kingsport; great-grandchildren, Logan, Max, and Rylee Ducheney, Breck and Trey Sanderson; pecial friends, Vicki Robbins, Phyllis Wilson, and June Dotson; a host of other family and friends.

James Oscar Goans, 91, Clinton, passed away peacefully May 22, 2020, at Commonweath Senior Living of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1928, in Clinton to parents Samuel and Stella Goans.
He was preceded in death by: His parents; brothers, Kenneth Goans, and Howard Goans; sister, Sarah Cantrell; and nephew, Kenny Goans.
He is survived by: Sisters, Margie Goans Hardings, and Katherine Goans Dillow, nieces; Terry Harding Watkins, Carol Goans, Lynette Dillow Middleton, Tracy Dillow Meddaugh, and Ann Cantrell Cable; and nephews, Ronnie Harding, and Dail R. Cantrell; as well as many grand nieces and nephews.
James Oscar Goans, also known as “Red” and “Slam,” graduated from Clinton High School where he played varsity football and four years as a starting tackle. From there he was drafted into the Army and served in the Korean Conflict. After leaving the Army, Jim became high voltage electrician and worked throughout the United States, always returning home to Clinton often between jobs to be with family.
Jim’s interests were his friends and his love for sports. He enjoyed playing golf, and he was an avid follower of Tennessee athletics. Jim was a member of the Masonic Lodge located in Clinton.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations be made to the Anderson County School System in his honor, which can be mailed to his nephew and Anderson County Board of Education member, Dail R. Cantrell, P.O. Box 299, Clinton, TN 37717.

Christopher Rocky Kirby, 30, Clinton, passed away May 22, 2020.
He was preceded in death by: Father, Greg Kirby; and grandfather, Vick McCoy.
He is survived by: Daughter, Madeline Rose Ronez and mother Deborah Kirby of Harrogate; father, Victor “Alan” McCoy of Bennettsville, S.C.; grandmother, Pearl Richardson of Clinton; brother, Joe Herrell and wife Rebecca; niece, Georgia; and nephew, Gentry of Jacksboro; and a host of aunts, uncles, Cousins, and friends.
Chris enjoyed music. He loved to play keyboard and drums. He loved his friends, loved to cook and experience new foods, and to rebuild computers.
Chris was a happy soul. He loved to make people laugh. He would go to extremes to make you happy if you were lucky enough to have known his love.
A celebration of life will be held at Melton Lake Park at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020. Remarks and prayer will be led by the Rev. Kevin Ward.

Paul Gene Richards, 82, Clinton, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020, at the Alexander Guest House Senior Living in Oak Ridge.
He was born July 25, 1937, in Lafollette, the son of Herbert B. and Loraine Davis Richards.
Paul graduated from Oak Ridge High School in the class of 1956.
He served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1962 as a radarman on the USS Seminole and retired from the US Postal Service in 1992. In earlier years he played on the Oak Ridge Post Office softball team.
He was of the Baptist faith, an avid fisherman and woodworker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: Wife, Shelby Johnson Richards in 1998; sister, Anna Lou Richards; and brother, Mike Richards.
He is survived by: Two daughters, Anna Waldroup and husband Greg and Paula Headrick and husband Greg, all of Clinton; girlfriend of 21 years, Nancy Trammell of Halls; four grandchildren, Kristen Way and husband Daniel of Kingsport, Bradley Ray of Knoxville, DeAnna Sharp and husband Eric of Powell, and Lauren Headrick of Nashville; and one great-granddaughter, Lily Way.
Family and friends will meet for a graveside service at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2020, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. Pastor Larry Moore will officiate.

Valous (Val) Sampsell, 72, Caryville, went to be the Lord Wednesday, May 20, 2020, surrounded by his loved ones.
Val had a passion for red vehicles and loved his best friend, his kitty, Tubby. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy and if you spent any time around him, you would hear all about them. He loved the Lord and was a member of Carroll Hollow Baptist Church. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by: Parents, Ivan and Dicie Sampsell; sister, Charlotte Tackett; and grandson, Travis Ross.
He is survived by: The love of his life, his wife of 52 years, Joann Sampsell; children, Connie (Don) Miller, Valerie (Dewayne) Baird, and Patty (Michael)Lowe; siblings, Zola (Cara) Ward and Curtis (Lynn) Sampsell; seven grandchildren, Steven Taylor, Trey Ramsey, Nicholas Ross, Kayla Rumsey, Andrew Lowe, Benjamin Lowe, and Morgan Lowe; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Kade and Presley; a host of other family and friends who loved him dearly.
