Georgie Young Hackworth, 90, Clinton, went to be with her Lord Dec. 7, 2019.
She was born Nov. 28, 1929, to George and Mary Reed Young in Tazewell.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph Hackworth after 66 years of marriage.
Georgie was one of 13 children, four girls, and nine boys.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by: Sister, Ella Young Seiber; brothers, Buster, Jimmy, Roy, Kyle, William Riley (J.R.), Walter, Charlie, Bailey and Albert Young.
Georgie is survived by sisters, Bonnie Young Davis of Knoxville and Inez Young Lane of Clinton.
And survived by sons: Jerry (Lisa) Hackworth and Dennis (Mary) Hackworth of Clinton; grandchildren, Kristy and Ted Phillips, Monica and Josh Miller both of Clinton, Austin Hackworth of Knoxville, Andy and Nicole Hackworth of Knoxville, Rocky Hackworth of Powell; great-grandchildren, Brady and Logan Phillips of Clinton, Hadley, Hayden and Hazel Hackworth of Powell, and Ava Hackworth of Knoxville
She loved the Lord and served 50 years as a Sunday school teacher. She served many positions in church but really enjoyed teaching children and telling Bible stories, and she had her own unique way of telling stories. She loved to laugh and have fun, and was quite the practical joker, especially with the Clinton Car Club, which they loved! She loved to garden and share with whoever. She loved to cook and always made sure you had eaten. Everyone loved her fried chicken and chocolate pies. Her husband, Ralph, bid on her chocolate pie at a bake sale and more than 66 years of marriage later they both are in the arms of Jesus.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will follow in the chapel with the Rev. Matt Giles officiating.
Her graveside will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, at Woodhaven Memorial Garden.

BILLY A. KESTERSON
December 4, 2019
Billy A. Kesterson, 38, Clinton, went home to be with his heavenly Savior Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019.
He enjoyed working out and playing baseball and was passionate about the Steelers. Billy was an incredible musician and played both the piano and guitar by ear.His hero was Stevie Ray Vaughn. Billy’s artistic endeavor also included drawing, calligraphy, and watching tv/movies such as the “Walking Dead.” Most of all Billy loved his parents. Billy was a 1999 graduate of Clinton High School and received his Associates Degree from Roane State.
He is survived by: Parents, Carl and Juanita Kesterson; brother, Bobby Kesterson and wife Danielle; sisters, Karri McKamey and husband Gene of Jacksboro, Traci Freels of Clinton, Resa Kesterson of Clinton, Deb Richard of Austin, Texas, and Linda Haddix of Clinton.
Billy also has numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie and Rick Paxton of Middleton, Ohio.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019 at Wesleyan Church, 821 Fowler St., Clinton.

WANDA LOU FRITTS

Wanda Lou Fritts, 77, Oliver Springs, passed away suddenly Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at approximately 5 in the morning at Oak Ridge Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Wanda was born May 25, 1942, to Walter and Juanita A. Seiber. She was raised in Frost Bottom but eventually married Oscar Fritts on March 16, 1963, when she was 19 years old. They began their family shortly after she gave birth to her first son, Perry, in 1964, following was Michael in 1966, and Brian in 1971.
Wanda was always a choir singing, front porch swinging, strong-willed, selfless and God-fearing woman. She always led by example and inspired many with her positive anticipation of her heavenly home. She grew her faith, her flowers, and her children stronger with each passing day.
The undeniable love she had for the ones closest to her was always shown in her sewing and quilting. I saw her hands sew for hours upon hours at a time until her hands started to slowly give up on her. She always greeted you with a warm smile, two opened arms and expected you to leave with a full belly. Her true passion was cooking — only the best Southern foods — and beaming with pride as she watched her dining room fill up with her loved ones. Even if you were late or couldn’t stay long, she still expected you eat or take a plate to go. She was also very prideful of her housekeep-ing. The house was clean tidy and dinner could be on the stove in just minutes- that’s just who she was.
She enjoyed making many new friends on her weekly trips to Bingo and playing card games with her grandkids during summer break. One thing she did not lack was Love. She instilled that endless and unconditional love into each and every one of her chil-dren and grandchildren. She raised her three sons to always be humble. They all three hold onto those morals that were taught over the years.
Wanda is survived by: Husband, Oscar Fritts; sons, Perry Fritts, Michael Fritts, and Bri-an Fritts; daughters-in-law, Tina Fritts and Amy Fritts and family; grandchildren, Brean-na Fritts and fiancé Joseph Patton, Joshua Fritts, Eryka Fritts, Kaleb Fritts and Brook-lann Fritts; great-grandchildren, Blaire Miller, Paisley Miller, and Easton Patton; broth-ers, Freddy Joe Seiber and wife Bobby, the Rev. G. Steve Seiber and wife A. Suzie, Dale Seiber and wife Cathy, W. Jay Seiber and wife Bridgette, Benjamin Seiber and wife Kathy; brothers-in-law, the late Herbert Fritts and wife Shirley, the late Rev. Ernest Fritts and wife June, the late James Fritts and wife Annette, Sam frits and wife Rhonda, and Jimmy Fritts; sistesr-in-law, Bessie Fritz, Sandy Caroll and husband Bill, the late Faye Choate and husband Dan, and Maxine Czarneck; and a host of many other nieces nephews relatives and friends.
Also preceded in death by; Jimmy Seiber, Mitchell Seiber and Cathy Freels.
Celebration of life services for Wanda Lou Fritts will be announced at a later date.
Broken Chain

Beatrice F. Worthington, 91, Clinton, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019.
Retired with more than 40 years of service from Union Peoples and First American Bank and served as branch manager late in her career at the Norris branch location. She was a long-time member of the Sinking Springs United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by: Husband, F. Elmo Worthington; daughter, Mona Gail; parents, Julian and Annie Daugherty; brother, Lloyd Daugherty Sr.; and nephew, Lloyd Daugherty Jr.
Beatrice is survived by: Son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Kila Worthington; grandchildren, Chad Worthington, Ashley and husband, Dennis Rash Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Nancy Daugherty; sister-in-law, Gertrude Daugherty; niece, Sylvia and husband, Todd McGhee; special friends, Marie Burgess, Nancy Alley, Nancy Duncan, Pat and Larry Marcum.

WILLIAM EDWARD ‘EDDIE’ McRAE

William Edward “Eddie” McRae, 65, passed away at his home Nov. 9, 2019, with his spouse of 29 years by his side.
He was born Nov. 27, 1953, in Southern Pines, N.C. The family later moved to Tennessee where he grew up. Eddie attended Clinton High School and served in the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Petrel. He was an avid outdoor sportsman and loved hunting with his dear friends Ben Gamble and Stanley Grubb. He and Ben attended the first elk release in Tennessee and they enjoyed many hunts together. He was very close to his cousin, Lynn Harris, and spent precious time together after he became ill.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pete McRae.
He is survived by: Wife, Brenda Goodman McRae; mother, Ann Harris McRae; sister, Cathy Robinson and husband Roger; niece, Kenzie Lovingood and husband Branham and their children Anderson, Wilson and Robinson; nephew, Kacy Robinson; sister-in-law, Becky Gardner and husband James and their children Gillian, Rachel, and April; brother-in-law, Dwight Goodman and his children Carolyn, Linus and Ryan; daughter, Tegan McNeely; grandson, Connor McNeely; special friend, Dale Monger, who checked on him frequently and kept their friends updated on his illness.
The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services to follow in the chapel.
His graveside will immediately follow at Grandview Memorial Garden with full military honors at graveside.

Michael David Hayton, 54, Sweetwater, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, at Sweetwater Hospital.
He was born Sept. 8, 1965, in Ridgecrest, Cali., to Michael Wayne Hayton and Jean Burress Hayton. Michael enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family. Michael loved to work and was a wonderful son who took special care of his mother.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael Wayne Hayton.
Survivors: Mother, Jean Hayton of Lake City; grandmother, Nona Burress of Lake City; fiancé, Zhiqiang Yin of Sweetwater; uncles, Jim Burress and Bonnie of Lake City, Greg Burress and Debbie of Lake City; aunts, Pat Lynch and John Clements of Chatsworth, Ga., Misty McKamey and Ronnie of Clinton; many other cousins, family, and friends.
Visitation was from 5 – 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at Hatmaker Funeral Home.

WANDA LOU SHETTERLY ABNER
November 5, 2019
Wanda Lou Shetterly Abner, Clinton, passed away Nov. 5, 2019, at the age of 86 years young.
After bravely battling cancer off and on for more than 20 years, she passed peacefully surrounded by those who loved her dearly. The prayers and love of those from afar also stood by her as she made her journey to meet her Maker and be reunited with her mother and daddy.
Wanda was a loving and giving person. She recently took up the hobby of quilting. She enjoyed it so much she began making quilts for East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. These quilts would be given as comfort quilts for children receiving treatment during their hospitalization. She also loved animals, especially cats. Living on farm, a stray was never turned away. And she was a devout woman. She would attend Sunday church services religiously until it became too difficult to drive or walk, but that did not stop her faith from straying.
Wanda is survived by: Husband, Charles, of 62 years of marriage; three children and their spouse, Dolores Padgett of Knoxville, Byron and Susan Abner of Cottontown, and Steven Abner of Clinton; five grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Shannon Bradley of Clinton, Elihugh and Lindsay Abner of Clarksville, Ethan and Elise Abner of Gallatin, James Abner of Cottontown, and Grace Abner of Knoxville; two great-grandchildren, Caius and Cormac Abner, along with one on the way.
Wanda had kind eyes and a warm smile. She will be deeply missed by her friends and loved ones. She will always remain in our hearts.
The family received friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2019.
Her funeral service followed in the chapel with Dr. Steve McDonald officiating.
Wanda’s graveside was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at Sunset Cemetery.

Virginia G. Hall Myers, 91, Powell, passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at her residence.
Virginia was born in Arthur, Tenn., April 18, 1928, to the late Henry L. Hall and Lillian Boggs Hall. She was a member of Bells Campground Baptist Church in Powell. She loved the outdoors, gardening, reading her Bible, ball room dancing, and spending time with her friends and family. Fishing was her passion.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by: Husband, Charles Marion Myers; brother, Henry L. Hall Jr., and sisters, Annette Francisco, and Jessie Richardson.
Survivors: Sons, Roger Myers of Powell, John and Theressa Myers of LaFollette; daughter, Brenda Cruze and Andrew of Knoxville; grandchildren, Chuck Cruze and Melissa of Powell, Steven and Laurie Cruze of Powell; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Cruze, Colton Cruze, and Jackson Cruze, Anna Miller and Jonah Miller.
Visitation was from 2 – 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at Hatmaker Funeral Home.

A graveside service was held following the funeral service Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at Leach Cemetery in Lake City.
