William W. Harmon passed away Sunday March 3, 2019, at Tennova Hospital North.
He was the loving husband of 66 years to Violet Taylor Harmon, Jacksboro; father to Mike Harmon (Angela), Archer Harmon (Robert), and the late Cierra Harmon; grandfather to London Yerta, Keenan Harmon, Monet Brinkman and Kala Rosenbaum; brother to Betty Harmon Hawkins, Samuel Jack Harmon and Roy Lee Harmon, and the late Woodrow Harmon, Shirley Harmon.
William was preceded in death by: Parents, Samuel Scott Harmon and Bessie Isabell Harmon.
William was drafted into the Army in 1952 and obtained the rank of Corporal and finished his service with an honorable discharge. After leaving the Army, William wanted a better opportunity and moved to Toledo, Ohio, and worked for Aklin Stamping Division of Tecumseh and retired in 1988. William was active in Barton Smith Masonic Lodge for 60 years and Crystal Lodge #616 F&AM, and was a proud member of his local UAW.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday March 6, 2019, with Masonic Service to follow at Hatmaker Funeral Home, 503 S. Main Street, Rocky Top, with the Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating.
Interment will be held at Campbell County Memorial Garden at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019, with Military Honors provided by Campbell County Honor Guard.

Alfred Adkins, 89, Clinton, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was born Oct. 28, 1929, in Isom, Ky., to the late Elzy and Mary Stidham Adkins. Alfred was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 333 in Sun Prairie, Wisc., and the VFW. He retired from General Telephone after 20-plus years of faithful service. Alfred enjoyed working outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Alfred was preceded in death by: Wife, Maggie Adkins; siblings, Raymond Adkins, Roman Adkins, Roland Adkins, Renavae Cornett, Refa Williams, Geneva Young and Faye Wallace.
Survived by: Son, Bradley Adkins and wife Carey of Nekoosa, Wisc.; aughters, Yvonne Lambert and husband Mark of Pilot Mountain, N.C., Rochelle Dushack and husband Pat of Sun Prairie, Wisc.; sister, Carolene Sexton and husband Randall “Tommy” of Clinton; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren

Willie Lee Edwards, also known as “Sugar Bear,” 77, Clinton, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019, at NHC Healthcare in Oak Ridge.
He loved to cook and feed people, and was well loved by everybody. Willie loved the Lord and was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Clinton.
Willie was preceded in death by: Parents, D.C. and Jenny B. Edwards; father, Dewey Anderson Jr.; son, David Edwards (Popcorn); brother, Derick Bates; and sister, Diane Ford.
Willie is survived by: Sons, Willie Edwards Jr of Chattanooga, Byron Fredricks of Florida; daughters, Gladys (Gina) Wills of Rockford, Ill., Greta Hollingsworth of Rockford, Ill., Kimberly Gibson of Clinton, and Kimberly Fields of Dalton, Ga.; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Veronica (Sue) Bates, Connie Bates, Tonette Thrift, Pam Thomas, Nette Anderson, Connie Soles, and Tracy Scruggs; brothers, William Bates, Dewey Anderson III, William Alexander; and a host of other relatives and friends.

CHRIS J. CASERTA

Chris J. Caserta, 95, Oak Ridge, formerly of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March2, 2019, at The Waters of Clinton in Clinton.
Chris was born to the late Bartolo and Antonia (Maniaci) Caserta on Dec. 10, 1923, in Marion, Ohio. A World War II Veteran, Chris served in the Navy on Seaplane Tender APV 30, USS San Pablo in the Pacific Theater. He was a painter by trade working for himself. He loved to attend sulky races, play Scrabble, play pool, and enjoy breakfasts at Patty Weller’s restaurant, both in Downtown Marion. Of Italian Sicilian decent, he enjoyed making wine with sons-in-law, Steve and Dave, and making Italian sausage with his brother, Jim. Chris and his wife, Dorothy, former members of Hicks and Chicks Square Dance Club, enjoyed square dancing for quite some time before moving to Tennessee.
Chris is survived by: Children, Christine (Dave) Bond of Knoxville, Doris (Steve) Schwartz of Marion, Ohio, Chris J. Caserta of Clinton, and Doreen (Jay) Mooney of Belton, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Chris in death was: Wife, Dorothy Lucille (Rentschler) Caserta, March 26, 2002; parents; brothers, Charles, Tony, Bert and James; sisters, Jean Puglisi, Josephine Elliott, Rosemary Stidham, and Eleanor Sabbach.
Private family graveside services will be held in Tennessee handled by Jones Mortuary in Clinton.

Jeffrey Norris Hodge, 43, Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 6, 1976, to James and Carol Sue Hodge in Cleveland, Ohio. His hobbies included collecting and shooting guns and working on cars. He also enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns play football. Jeff loved to make people laugh and lived life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by: Father, James Hodge; grandparents, Leonard and Lou Jackson, and Dorothy and Phil Finley; and cousin, Brian Hooks.
He is survived by: Sons, J.J. Hodge, and Jackson Hodge; mother, Carol Hodge; fiancé, Shena; sister, Pam Wilson and husband Steve; nephew, Tyler Wilson and wife Andrea; niece, Molly Wilson; beloved pets, Penny and Nelson; and a host of other beloved family and friends.

MARIAN (MISTY) MELISSA YEAGER

Marian (Misty) Melissa Yeager, 69, passed away Feb. 27, 2019, at home.
She was a long-time resident of Norris, and formerly of Waverly, Ohio. She was born in Birmingham, Ala., to the late Ernest N. Williams and Elizabeth (Best) Williams, on Jan. 6, 1950.
She was preceded in death by: Brother, Norman Williams of Waverly, Ohio.
Misty is survived by: Husband, Bruce Yeager; son, Jesse and wife Amanda Yeager and their sons Nolan Painter and Levi Yeager; daughter, Meredith Yeager and son-in-law Derek Ballantine; twin sister, Mildred (Millie) Williams; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was a loving mother and inspiration to both family and friends. She brought us music, patience and love. Her story continues through our lives. Misty was a member of the Norris Religious Fellowship (church secretary for a number of years), but also regularly participated in worship with the Norris United Methodist church.
She was an exceptional vocal and keyboard musician who delighted in sharing her knowledge and abilities with other musicians, songwriters and students. She sang and acted in musical productions and plays; wrote, published and arranged music for others; initiated and directed both adult and children’s community choirs and choruses that included the Norris Women’s Vocal Group and a regional Women’s Vocal Orchestra that performed classical music with the women singing the parts of orchestral instruments. She performed regionally with Americana, Christian and Pop/Jazz groups.
A life-long learner, she was a busy woman. In addition she earned a bachelors degree in music from the Ohio State University and a masters degree in library and information science from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She had worked at both the TVA technical libraries in both Muscle Shoals, Ala., and Knoxville, was the technical information specialist for the National Uranium Resource Evaluation Project in Oak Ridge, at different times was the Director of the Clinton and Norris Public Libraries, moving the Norris library to its’ current location on The Commons, and instituting the first on-line digital services at the library through grants from the Gates Library Foundation. She retired as Media Relations Director for the Museum of Appalachia and then volunteered for years preparing signage and displays for the museum.
The family will receive friends at the Norris Religious Fellowship at noon Saturday March 9, with a memorial service beginning at 1 p.m.
A private family burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Norris Memorial Gardens in Norris.

ROBERT DONALD ‘BOB’ PAQUETTE

Robert Donald “Bob” Paquette, 90, Norris, passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Bob was a member of Norris Public Safety since the late 1970’s, was a trained firefighter for the Norris Fire Department, a dispatcher for the Norris Police and Fire departments, a 32nd Degree Mason at the Andersonville Lodge, a member of the Elks Club in Oak Ridge, a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Clinton Church of Christ. He was a happy member of the community of Norris and the larger community of Anderson County, always ready to serve, and always delighted to give of his time. He could be seen every Fourth of July for decades, flipping burgers and roasting hot dogs for the Norris Fire Department.
Bob Paquette was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and the Korean Conflict, having flown 32 bombing missions over Korea, where he also received the Purple Heart, and numerous commendations for service and bravery under fire. He was a hero not only to his family, but a humble and self-effacing hero to his country as well.
Everyone who knew him, knew him as a kind-hearted man, as a man unhesitatingly ready to serve his neighbors and his nation. He was always happy to lend a hand - and more than one family member came to Bob Paquette in their final days, when they could no longer care for themselves.
His life, his impact on the City of Norris, is indelible. Those who knew him will always remember him with a smile.
Bob Paquette was preceded in death by: Loving and devoted wife, Ella Ruth Paquette; parents, Lawrence and Helen Walker; siblings, Dorothy “Dot” Paquette, Walter Paquette, Emil Paquette, Patricia Stoll, and John “Jack” Paquette.
He is survived by: Daughter, Jackie Patton and her husband Jason; son, Robert Eric Paquette and wife Huyen; three wonderful and adoring grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremiah, and Joseph Patton; very special friend, Carolyn Cornett; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins scattered across numerous States and at least three countries.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2019, at Clinton Church of Christ in Clinton. His funeral service will follow with Mike Smith officiating.
His graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Norris Memorial Garden with full military honors.

The Jones Mission fund builds homes and schools for orphans and underprivileged children in under-served and rural areas of India, as well as providing healthy and nourishing meals.

Lawrence Elbert McIntosh, 94, Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019.
Lawrence was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Navy. For many years Lawrence was a car salesman in Anderson County and was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan.
He was preceded in death by: First wife, Clara McIntosh; siblings, James H. McIntosh, Raymond McIntosh, Lois Kilburn, Bertha Lewis, Candus Spencer, and Mary McIntosh.
He was survived by: Wife, Joyce McIntosh; daughter, Karen McIntosh; son, Michael McIntosh and wife Felicia; grandchildren, Brandon McIntosh and wife Shayle, Adam McIntosh, Kristin McIntosh; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ena Faye McIntosh; special friend, Kathleen Marable; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2019.
His funeral service will follow in the chapel with the Rev. Kent Williams officiating. Lawrence’s graveside will follow at Woodhaven Memorial Garden.
