Judy Lee Smith passed away early Tuesday morning, Nov. 29, 2022.
She passed away at her home in Clinton with her son by her side. Judy was born in Clinton Jan. 1, 1956, to the late Molly and Earnest Powell.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Powell of Clinton.
She is survived by: Brother, Joe Powell of Oliver Springs; sister, Sue Fox of Clinton; children, John K. Smith, and Kelli R. Smith, as well as their partners, Tammy Braden and Tyrone Irons; grandchildren, Dee Smith, who blessed her with a great-grand child, Damari Williams, as well as Taya Smith and Shemar Smith-Irons; among many more family and friends.
Judy worked at Norwood’s Early Head start, where she shined her light on so many children and faculty. She had a love for travel, animals of all kinds, Elvis Presley, and more than anything, her family. She lived an adventurous life, leaving smiles and full hearts in her wake.

Russell Eugene Rhea, 62, Clinton, passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2022.
Russell was a member of Blowing Springs Baptist Church in Clinton. He was a family man who enjoyed being outdoors. In his free time, Russell loved to watch University of Tennessee sports, listen to music, hike, and go kayaking. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Rex Rhea.
Russell leaves behind: Mother, Wanda Rhea of Clinton; mother of his children, Kathy Rhea of Clinton; son, Cody Rhea and wife Kasi of Oliver Springs; daughter, Chelsea Rhea and Matt Steffey of Clinton; brothers, Jeff Rhea and wife Karen of Maryville, Mike Rhea of Clinton; grandchildren, Barrett and Baylor Rhea.
Russell also leaves behind: Special friend, Shirley Manning; family friend, Jessica Duncan of Maynardville; along with his friends and coworkers at Keurig/Dr. Pepper; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
The Rhea Family will receive friends in the Chapel of Jones Mortuary from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2022.
Russell’s funeral service will begin at 8 p.m. with Pastors Jimmy Davidson and David White speaking.
Family and friends will meet at Blowing Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Clinton at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, for his graveside service.

Barbara Bailey, 78, Norris, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, Nov. 25, 2022.
She was born April 15, 1944, in Andersonville to Mike and Ruby Fraker Elkins. Barbara was a member of Lone Mountain Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by: Sisters, Audrey Pike, Betty Bell, and Lorene Humphrey; brothers, Lester Elkins, Lowell Elkins, Jim Elkins, Melvin Elkins.
She is survived by: Husband, Dewey Bailey; daughter, Kristi Keisling (Roy); grandson, Matthew Keisling (Kelsie); granddaughter, Abby Keisling; siblings, Jewel Shropshire, Jean Howard, Gail Clark, Steve Elkins, Joe Elkins; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

DOUGLAS CHARLES RIDENOUR

Douglas Charles Ridenour, 79, Andersonville, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, at his residence.
He was born July 28, 1943, to Charlie and Lorene Melton Ridenour. Douglas was a welder working for Sheet Metal Local 5 where he was known as “Doughboy.” He also enjoyed farming the old timer’s way and doing meat processing. Douglas was a simple and loving man and will be missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maude and Elijah Melton.
Survived by: Loving wife of 56 years, Betty Sue Ridenour; son, Scott Ridenour and wife Angela; grandson, Waylon Matthew Ridenour; special thanks to cousins, Kelli Owens and Becky Goins; a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Allen Giles officiating.

David Beganie, 74, Clinton, passed away at his residence Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022.
David was born Nov. 27, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Leonard and Hazel Beganie. For many years David was the Manufacturer Supervisor at Modine in Clinton until the company closed. David was very conscious about his health and loved to exercise. The love of his life was his wife, Peggy, but the pride of his life was his grandchildren. David was very involved in his grandchildren’s lives and enjoyed watching them play sports.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Beganie.
He is survived by: Loving wife of 39 years, Peggy Beganie; children, Linda Rice and husband Greg of Kent, Ohio, Charlotte Turner and husband Richard of Ravenna, Ohio, Rick Bunch and wife Krissy of Ravenna, Ohio, and Teresa Cox and husband Danny of Clinton; grandchildren, Cody Cox and wife Maddy, Wyatt Cox and Jackson Cox; great-grandchildren, Deacon and Addison Cox.
The family will receive friends from noon – 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services to follow in the chapel.
His graveside will immediately follow at Grandview Memorial Garden.

OATSY 'PAT' PHILLIP WEAVER

Patsy “Pat” Phillips Weaver, 74, Clinton, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 21, 2022.
Patsy was a member of Carroll Hollow Baptist Church and was saved many years ago.
Patsy was born nine weeks early and weighed 1 pound, 7 ounces. She was born at home and the doctor said she would probably only live a few days. She was fed with a medicine dropper for many months and was truly a miracle. With God’s help, Patsy survived and we are all better off for it. Anyone who knew her, talked about how sweet she was. She had a heart of gold and will forever be missed by friends and family. What a blessing it was that we got to keep her for almost 75 years!
Patsy was preceded in death by: Parents, Ether and Pauline Phillips; brother, Ether “E.B.” Phillips Jr.; sister, Mary Thomas; great-niece, Megan Ford Marie.
Patsy is survived by: Husband, Michael Eugene Weaver; sisters, Evelyn Davidson and husband Ed, Betty Haggard and husband Danny, Martha Powers and husband Wayne, and Doris Conatser; many nieces and nephews, who she thought of as her own children; a host of great-nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022, in the chapel of Mott-McKamey Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jenkins and Donnie Chambers officiating.
The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.

Judy Caudill passed away Monday, Nov. 2t, 2022, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center after her battle with cancer.
Judy was one of eight children and was predeceased by: Mother, Elva; brother, Billy; and sisters, Teenie and Linda.
She is survived by: Daughter, Nicki; beloved grandchildren, Ben and Erin; brothers, Tom, Ronnie, and Harold; and sister, Ruth; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Judy was fiercely independent, hardworking, and loved by all who knew her. She lived an interesting, exciting and full life.
The family will receive friends from 5 - 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, at Holly Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m.

WALTER ELBERT STOOKSBURY

Walter Elbert Stooksbury, 82, passed away Nov. 20, 2022, following an extended illness.
Walter will be remembered as an intelligent, kind, loving husband, son, father, brother and friend.
Walter was born in Harriman in 1940 where he spent his early childhood years, later moving to Norris, where he resided through high school before graduating college at The University of Tennessee. Walter then began a long and successful career at Horace Mann Insurance Company for the next 33 years. Walter enjoyed traveling, playing golf, University of Tennessee sports, and was a huge classic car enthusiast. He was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church, Norris.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Maurice Stooksbury.
Survived by: Loving wife, Janice; brother, Dennis Stooksbury; sister, Claudette Grayson (Joel); niece and nephew, Karen and Buddy Queen; brother-in-law, Robert Lane (Peggy); sister-in-law, Joyce Ogburn; stepchildren, John Changas (Amy), Gina Ball (Gordon), Karen Trammell and Nick Changas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held for the family in care of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
