Elmer Taylor passed away Sept. 19, 2020, having lived a full life of 95 years.
He was born April 22, 1925. He was a World War II veteran, retired from BellSouth after 35 years, and was a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: Wife, Hellen Keith Taylor; parents, Oscar and Julia Taylor; sisters, Mary Harless, Hazel McKinney, Carrie Taylor, and Stella Lowe; brothers, Arvile, Homer, and Woodrow; and grandson, Taylor Brooks.
Survived by: Son, Lynn and wife Beverly; daughter, Janice Brooks and husband Kent; grandsons, Mark Taylor and wife Laura, Eric Taylor and wife Kim; granddaughters, Kari Guenther and husband Marcus, Kristen Hooper and husband Ryan; great-granddaughters, Emma Taylor, Julia Taylor, Kaitlyn Taylor, and Lily Hooper; and great-grandson Luke Hooper.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton.

EUGENE GALLAHER
September 18, 2020
Eugene Gallaher, 68, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side Sept. 18, 2020, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born on Jan. 24, 1952, in Clinton. He worked at ORGDP (K-25), Boeing Manufacturing Company, and CNS (Y-12).
Eugene was a member of Overcoming Believers Church and actively involved in Healing of the Land, The Change Center of OBC, and Boys to Men. He was also a member of the Gadson Chapel Lodge #33, Prince Hall Mason, where he was Pastmaster and current Senior Deacon. He served as president of the Green McAdoo Cultural Center.
Eugene enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed his pets and working in his yard. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and being in the great outdoors. No adventure was too big for Eugene. Eugene was someone who always thought of others before himself.
He was preceded in death by: Mother, Ethel Gallaher; father, Ed Myers; stepfather, Jack Hill; great-grandson, JuanJuan Lightfoot; sisters, Anna Lee Griffin and Glenna Hill; brothers, Arthur Gallaher and Ronnie Hill; sister-in-law, Beulah Soles Wells and brother-in-law, James Ernest Griffin.

A graveside service, with Pastor Daryl W. Arnold officiating, was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell.

ALINE COLE FOSTER

Aline Cole Foster, 92, Clinton, passed away peacefully at Norris Health and Rehab early Thursday morning, Sept. 17, 2020.
Aline was born in Norris on Aug. 29, 1928, to the late William R. Cole and Jamaica Bell (Adkins) Cole.
Aline grew up in Tennessee and spent her entire life in the Clinton community. Aline was married to the late Wayne Foster and never stopped counting the years they would have been married, exceeding 60 years.
Aline is survived by: Son, Jeff and her daughter-in-law (who she considered a daughter) Cyndie Foster.
She was preceded in death by: Parents; husband; three sisters, Mildred Rusher, Bertha Seiber, Irene Butler; and one brother, Owen Cole; and one sister-in-law, Opal Cole.
Many extended family members are still living including Glen Onard Austin, Jane Goins and family, Brenda Witt and family from Maryville.
Aline worked for years at the Magnet Mills in Clinton as a looper and found lifelong friends Lou Davis, Anne Minga and dearest friend Betty Stooksbury at the mill.
Aline took great pride in her lawn and her late life hobbies were picking up all the sticks in her yard and piling them up, and until she was about 86 she mowed her own lawn for the most part. Special thanks to two of the best neighbors, Bobby Meredith and Brian Foster who, without being asked, helped mom keep her yard looking pristine.
No one will miss her more than me, her only son, Jeff. For years every night we talked at 11 p.m. to say goodnight and make sure she was okay. For years every Friday was lunch at mom’s where she cooked fried chicken or soup beans, or black eyed peas. I fondly remember these times. In her later years we went to Bethel together and she loved going with me to the place she truly felt at home.
Mom would never let me say goodbye to her, felt it was bad luck, so I end this tribute to my sweet mother by saying – See you later mom, Jeff.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2020, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
Funeral services will be held following visitation with Dr. Darryl Taylor officiating.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020, at Bethel Church Cemetery.

Edna Y. Blair, 91, passed away peacefully at home in Clinton Sept. 15, 2020.
She was a member of Edgemoor Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
She was preceded in death by: Husband, Buford Blair; parents, John and Eva York; one sister; and four brothers.
She is survived by: Children, Judy (Carl) Ridenour, Patsy (Steve) Garner, Eva Blair, Charlotte Greenlee, Mickey (Larry) Underwood, and Tommy (Laura) Blair; grandchildren, Kennie Garner, Carlton Ridenour, and Toni Blair; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Jasmine, Kaiden, and Harrison; special friend, Steve Pyatt.

Bearl David Daniels, 63, Oak Ridge, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was born in Anderson County to the late Harvey and Hattie Nard Daniels on Oct. 7, 1956. David enjoyed listening to music and eating candy.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by: Siblings, Trula Miles, Jackie Daniels, JoAnn Daniels, William Daniels, Arnold Daniels, Horace Daniels, Daisy Turner, Dimple Trail, Donnie Daniels and Ralph Daniels.
Survived by: Siblings, Patricia Jarnigan, Kathy Burris, Katie Sue Fox, Darris Daniels; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Vera Ferguson-Williams, 82, departed this life Friday Sept. 11, 2020, in Little Rock, Ark.
She was reunited with her devoted husband, Alfred Williams (Clinton 12 member), who passed away in March, 2019.
She retired from Levi Strauss Company and was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton.
Vera leaves to cherish her loving memories: Children, Cornelius (Donna) Ferguson Jr., Freddy Ferguson, Eric Ferguson, Shirley Ferguson, Joyce Ann Harper, Vickie Ferguson, and Katina Davis; siblings, Sylvester (Dorothy) Scott, Ira Brenda Winston, Lucille Rollins, and Lessie Bee Mangrum; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members.
Open visitation will be held after 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020, at Jarnigan’s Chapel and from 1 – 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church.

Rodney McClellan, 66, born Feb. 10, 1954, in Knoxville, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, due to complications of Pneumonia.
Rodney resided in Andersonville most of his life and spent his last years in Clinton.
Rodney’s smile could brighten the day and lighten the load of anyone who cared for him.
He is loved and will be missed by: Brother and sister-in-law, William and Laurel McClellan of Fort Collins, Colo.; nieces, Meredith Nichols of Fort Collins, Colo., Claire McClellan of Fort Collins, Colo.; sister and brother-in-law, Leslie and David Zech of Buchanan, Mich.; and sister and brother-in-law, Deidre and Jeff Collins of Camas, Wash.; nephew, Steven Collins of Lincoln, Neb.; and niece, Kelsey Collins of Camas, Wash.

Paul David Huckaby, 74, Clinton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, at his home.
He loved his grandbabies and spending time with them. Paul spent his spare time fishing and going to flea markets. He had a passion for operating heavy equipment.
Paul was preceded in death by: Parents, Mack and Mary Katherine Huckaby; several brothers and sisters.

Paul’s family received his friends from 5–7 p.m., with his funeral following at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Brother Donnie Rosenbaum officiating.
Family and friends met at Jones Mortuary at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020, to proceed to Leach Cemetery in Lake City for a 10 a.m. interment.
