Joe Daniel McAmis, 67, Clinton, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020, surrounded by his family.
An adored and devoted husband, father, son, Papaw, and brother, Joe loved going to the beach with his family, watching Tennessee football, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids.
Joe is survived by: Wife of 48 years, Dawn (Kalfas); children, Joe and wife Sharla, Clay and wife Amanda, Maleia Wood and husband Jason, and Sean; mother, Daphna; siblings, Jack McAmis and Mary Bunch; brother-in-law, Bill Gibbs; grandchildren, Andrew, Mollie, Emmy, Blake, and Griffin; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia (Patty) Gibbs.
The family held a graveside service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020.
Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton was in charge of all arrangements.

Mary Lane, 95, Oak Ridge, passed away Monday, Sept. 1, 2020, at Diversacare of Oak Ridge.
She was born in Clinton to the late James Cecil and Bessie Irene Brock Taylor. She was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church in Oak Ridge. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton for many years. Mary loved her family, church and reading.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by: Husband, Hardin Seaton Lane; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and James A. Coleman.
Survived by: Sons, Buster Lane wife Ellen, Mike Lane wife Bridget; grandchildren, Tyler Lane, Taylor Lane wife Jenny, Mary Alice Lane; great-grandchildren, Bennett Lane and Harper Lane; nephew, Al and Vickie Coleman.

Robert Hayes Raby, 93, Clinton, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord with his daughter by his side Aug. 21, 2020, at Diversacare of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Raby was born on Oct. 20, 1926, to his late parents, Elmer and Dora Raby. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army. He was a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church where he served as a dedicated deacon doing service for the Lord. Mr. Raby was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Alpha Lodge #376 in Clinton for more than 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. He will always be remembered for his heart of gold and was always and willing to help anyone in need.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by: Wife of 40 years, Hazel Braden Raby; daughter, Judy Williams; granddaughter, Tracy Brewer; stepmom, Maggie; brothers, C.B. Raby, Boyd Raby and Clyde Raby; sisters, Burnett Nichols and Florence Hendren.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by: Daughter, Rebecca Andrews and husband Bill of Clinton; grandsons, Phillip Andrews and wife Krystal of Knoxville, John Andrews and wife Heather of Knoxville, and Robert Andrews of South Carolina; granddaughter, Samantha Williams of Oak Ridge; sister-in-law, Claudia Braden of Lewisburg; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Andrews, Olivia Andrews, Aubrey Andrews, Braden Andrews, Chloe Brewer, Loki Brewer and Jessamyn Duncan; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020, in the chapel at Jones Mortuary with a funeral service to follow. F
Family and friends will gather at Sunset Cemetery at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020, for interment with full military honors.

On Aug. 21, 2020, Donald Delonis Dew, 81, Andersonville, went to the place that Jesus had been preparing for him.
Donald leaves a legacy of love and service to his Lord, his family, and his friends. Jesus was the center of his life and his family rejoices that he is now in His presence. We give thanks to the Lord for the gracious way that He brought Donald home easily and peacefully.
He waits in Heaven for: His wife of 61 years, Judy Miller Dew; his sons and their wives, Jeff and Ramona of Knoxville, Joel and Kendra of Powell, Greg and Kelly of Mt. Juliet, and Kevin of Chattanooga.
He also leaves behind: 10 grandchildren, Hannah Phillips (Derek), Mary Elizabeth, Katlyn Smith (Max), Kelsey Stepp (Clark), Sam, Maddie, Miller, Tate, Brooke, and Reece; three great-grandchildren, Judson, Juliana, and Wyatt; as well as brother, James (Juanita); and sisters-in-law, Betty Disney and Lorene Dew.
The family received friends at the Norris First Baptist Church from 10 a.m. – noon, Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020, with the funeral service following at noon.
His graveside service followed at the Norris Memorial Gardens.

Alma “Auntie” Jean May, 89, Clinton — heaven gained an angel Aug. 19, 2020.
She was born April 24, 1931, to the late Luther and Dixie Webber May. Alma was a member of Farmers Grove Baptist Church, where she was the Sunday school treasurer and loved her church family. Alma was a very special lady to her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by: Brother, Ostes May; and nephew, Joel May.
Survived by: Nieces, Mary Gibson and husband Melvon, Dixie Bumgardner, Sandra Taylor; special great-nephew, Wesley Gibson and wife Elizabeth; nephew, James May and wife Wendy; great-nieces, April Tinker and Amanda Dotson; great-nephew, B.J. Dotson; a host of other family and friends.
The family would like to thank all the PCM nurses for all their love and care during Ms. Alma’s sickness.

Barbara Cunningham Williams, 80, Clinton, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
She was born in Clinton to the late Alexander and Bertha Marie Brittle Cunningham. Barbara was a member of Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church and retired from Hoskins Drug Store after working there for 17 years.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by: Husband, Charlie Williams; and sister, Nancy Cunningham.
Survived by: Sons, Bobby Cunningham, David Cunningham and wife Phyllis; sister, Joan Smith and husband Roy; brother, Larry Cunningham; grandchildren, Kayla Dawn Cunningham, Mathew Cunningham and Cheyann Chandler; great-grandchildren, Kenzlee Nix and Cooper Nix; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Barbara’s interment was held at Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2020.

Georgia Lorene Hill Cox, 98, Clinton, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020.
She was born Oct. 20, 1921, in Loyston to the late L.G. “Gip” Hill and Bessie Stooksbury. She was a member of Hinds Creek Baptist Church and worked at Magnet Mills in Clinton and Davis Manufacturing Company Inc. in Knoxville. She loved working her garden with her flowers and also loved her dog, cats, and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by: Husband, Charles Elmore Cox; son, Daniel E. Cox; brothers, Vaughn Hill, Carson Hill, and Billy Hill; sisters, Retta Mae Hill Hickson and Gertrude Hill Stokes.
She is survived by:Son, Charles Ed Cox; grandchildren, Matthew Cox and wife Jackie, Amy Fox and husband Jim, and Denice Satterfield and husband Gerald; great-grandchildren, Charleigh Saige Cox, Lainey Cox, Daniella “Dana” Cox, Dalton Sams, Ryle Sams, Gracie and Cate Satterfield; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Daniel (Cathy) Cox; siblings, Mary June Hill Hillon, Letta Lou Hill Graham, and Jack Hill

WILLARD RALPH SHELTON JR.

Willard Ralph Shelton Jr., better known as “Willie,” Powell, passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
Willie played football with the Carson Newman College. He loved NASCAR and any kind of racing. Willie sponsored Lenoir City Elementary School Stop, Drop and Roll Program, also the Claxton and Clinton Optimist Clubs. He was a big supporter of the Kerbela Temple Lenoir City Chapter. Willie was an Eagle Scout leader with Claxton, Clinton and Lake City groups. He enjoyed camping and boating. Willie was the owner of A-Plus Paint and Body Shop in Lenoir City.
Willie was preceded in death by: Parents, Willard Sr. and Earleen Shelton.
He is survived by: The love of his life, best friend and soul mate, Cindy Shelton of Clinton; stepson, Zachary Murray of Clinton; stepdaughter, Amber Renee Scott of Oak Ridge; sisters, Kathy Nogradi and husband Scott of Clinton, and Dianna Eldridge of Clinton; nieces, Molly and Harliegh; nephews, Paul, James, and Will; and a host of friends.
Willie’s family will receive his friends from 5 – 8 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020, in the chapel of Jones in Clinton.
His interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Oak Ridge.
