Rocky Top City Hall
Clean Water State Revolving Fund Loan for WWTP
$1,610,000 with $805,000 forgiveness
The proposed loan will allow the City of Rocky Top to complete critical improvements to the water and wastewater system without requiring the full cost to be paid upfront. Repaying the loan will require the City to maintain rates at levels sufficient to meet debt service obligations and operate the utility system responsibly.
The City has worked to minimize the impact on customers by spreading the cost of these improvements over the life of the loan. While utility rates may increase as necessary to support repayment, the improvements will help prevent more costly emergency repairs, improve the reliability of service, and ensure compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.
