Lake City Middle School took home first place at the Mizuno tournament in Pigeon Forge last weekend. The LCMS spring team is working hard to compete at a high level and continue the program’s winning ways.

The girls are lucky enough to have the senior high school setter, Emilee Sturgill, coaching them alongside Brook Toler. Both of these young ladies are past LCMS students, and were willing to come back and help the young ladies of LCMS.

The Lakers started their day at 8 a.m. and ended it at 6 p.m. They saved their best playing for the tournament. They did a great job executing their offense and preparing their defense for a quick attack.

The Lakers will resume their play in the fall as they work towards another Area 2 title.
