Three from county attend Eastern Region 4-H All-Stars

The Eastern Region 4-H All-Stars hosted their annual Spring Conference March 9th-11th at the Clyde York 4-H Center in Crossville. The theme for this event was “Wild West.”

More than 100 All Stars took part in cowboy-inspired fun including a Cowboy Showdown and a Boot Scootin’ Ball.

Spring Conference is when the Easter Region elects new officers. Several offices were hotly contested.

The 2018-2019 officers are: Chief: Will Dalton (Grainger County), Deputy Chief: Laura Grace Jenkins (Hawkins County), Scribe: Jordan Bowling (Anderson County), Eagle Scout: Jackson Leville (Roane County), At Large Scout: Kennedy, Elder: Savannah, along with 4 Area Scouts.

The All-Star motto is “Service.” 4-Hers at this event participated in a multitude of service projects such as making dog toys to donate to a local shelter, collecting items for the Lost Sheep Ministry and making frames for our Military abroad to show our appreciation for their service.

Three 4-Hers from Anderson County attended Spring Conference: Jordan Bowling, Bayli Alley and Helen Wagner. Both Bayli Alley and Helen Wagner were initiated into All Stars. Jordan Bowling, who served as Eagle Scout for 2017-2018 was elected as the new Eastern Region All Star Scribe for 2018-2019. (Submitted by Jordan Bowling, Eastern Region 4-H All Star Scribe)
