Aug. 1, 2018 named Billy Wade Brock Day in Anderson County
Billy Wade Brock, faithful servant to Anderson County, was honored at the County Commission Meeting, Monday, July 16.
Brock enlightened the attending body with a delightful tale of a prank he once played on his family, which seemed to exemplify the kind — hearted and down-to-earth man he is.
“Anderson County has a lot of good people, that do a lot of good things. The Brock family, Wade in particular is one of those people,” said Mayor Terry Frank.
“If you look at the courthouse and you see the wheelchairs and walkers, that’s due to the hard work of this man.”
Brock was born in Anderson County and has been a lifelong member of the community.
Brock served in the U.S. Army and is a Korean War Veteran.
“We, Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank and members of the Anderson County Board of Commissioners do hereby recognize Billy Wade Brock for his selfless service to the residents of Anderson County and his unwavering dedication to his family. And as such, we proclaim August 1, 2018 as Billy Wade Brock Day in Anderson County.”
