Clinton youth basketball sign-ups run through Oct. 27

The Clinton Youth Basketball League is having signups, from 6 - 8 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday through Oct. 27.

Sign-ups will be held at the South Clinton Gym, located at 313 Unaka Street.

The cost to play is very little — $50 for a single child, $40 each for two children, and $30 each for three children. The 2018-2019 season will begin Nov. 3 or 10, and last until February. Games are played at the gym every Saturday. Last year, the Clinton Youth Basketball League consisted of 280 kids, ranging from first graders to middle school students.

Last year, the league was separated into four different age groups: Four years old-first grade, second grade-third grade, fourth grade-fifth grade, and all middle school students.

The Clinton Youth Basketball League is open to donations and looking for sponsors. The league’s goal is to raise enough money to get the floor of the South Clinton Gym redone. Please visit and sign up. The next available date to do so is from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11. If you have any questions, please contact Roger Slaven at 865-356-4258 or Mary Slaven at 423-494-0867.
