This past weekend, the Tennessee Jays fourth grade AAU basketball team traveled to Oliver Springs, TN, to compete in the seventh annual MPCA Shootout. The Jays made it to the championship game of the tournament, but came up just short of a title. In the fourth quarter of the championship game, the Jays trailed by ten points. Yet, they battled back to take the lead late in the game. However, with five seconds to go in regulation, their opponents would make a basket to win the ballgame. Nevertheless, the Tennessee Jays finished as MPCA Shootout Finalists. They Jays’ season comes to a close with a 25-5 record. During that span, the Jays earned one championship, and finished as finalists four times.
