Applicants are sought for Scarboro Alumni Scholarships
The Scarboro Community Alumni Association was formed in the fall of 2011. Its objective is to revitalize our community, instill community pride, and serve as mentors to the youth in our neighborhood. The Alumni Association is made up of current and former neighborhood residents who have a desire to make an impact within our community while assisting children in our neighborhood reach their full potential.
The Alumni Association scholarship serves as a way of seeding into the youth of the Scarboro community.
Scholarships are offered to high school graduates who continue on with higher education, whether two or four year college/university.
Attached is the application form for the Scarboro Community Alumni Association (SCAA) scholarship.
Applicants are asked to complete the form and submit the application and essay no later than July 8, 2019. Application postmarked later than this date will not be accepted.
If the application is accepted, you will be required to volunteer to work at an SCAA fundraiser vent.

Prerequisites for Applying:
• Must have an association with the Scarboro Community
• Must have attended Oak Ridge High School or surrounding area high school
• Must be enrolled in a two or four year undergraduate program
• Must show proof of a minimum of 30 volunteer hours
• Must submit a 500 word essay that describes your financial need.
