‘Leaf’ workshop set for UT Arboretum

A leaf print art workshop will be held at the UT Arboretum from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20.

Please bring a sack lunch. The program will be held at the UT Arboretum Sharp Program Shelter, 901 S. Illinois Avenue in Oak Ridge. The event will take place rain or shine.

The cost is $30 for members of the UT Arboretum Society and $35 for non-members.

An adult may work together with a child to make two leaf prints at a discounted price of $50 for members and $55 for non-members.

The children will make a smaller version of the leaf print.

All project materials except paint will be provided. Time will not permit painting the leaf prints, but instruction will be given about the type of paint needed to finish the project at home.

Celebrating 54 years in 2019, this program is one of many activities that will be offered this year by the UT Arboretum Society. The program is cosponsored by the UT Forest Resources AgResearch and Education Center.



The Forest Resources AgResearch and Education Center which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2014, is one of ten outdoor laboratories located throughout the state as part of the UT AgResearch system. AgResearch is a division of the UT Institute of Agriculture. The Institute of Agriculture also provides instruction, research and public service through the UT Herbert College of Agriculture, the UT College of Veterinary Medicine, UT AgResearch and UT Extension offices, with locations in every county in the state.
