The Scarboro Community Alumni Association (SCAA) held a reception to honor their 2019 Scholarship recipients on Aug. 4, at Spurgeon Chapel A.M.E.Zion Church.

The recipients were selected by their essay submissions on how these funds would assist them financially.

The deadline for the Scholarship was July 8,2019.

“It was difficult as essays were well written and expressive, “ said Tina Henderson-Porter, however the selection committee determine those who met all requirements of the essay application were awardees.”
