Jordan Bowling of Heiskell was recognized as a Level II winner in citizenship. She received a silver bowl, $1000 college scholarship and trip to National 4-H Congress in Atlanta.
Anderson County 4-H’ers excelled during the 96th Tennessee 4-H Roundup, held at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Twelve Anderson County 4-H’ers earned State Finalist honors with the following youth competing in state finals: Bayli Alley, Jordan Bowling, Avery Chandler, Bonnie Chandler, Isaac Chandler, Hannah Howard, Nicholas Monday, Alexandra Stroud, Lily Vandagriff, and Helen Wagner.
Hannah Howard of Andersonville and Bonnie Chandler of Clinton of Andersonville were recognized as Level I state winners in the companion animal project. Isaac Chandler of Clinton was recognized as the Level I state winner in the entomology project. Avery Chandler was recognized as the Level II state winner in the vet science project. Jordan Bowling was recognized as the Level II state winner in the citizenship project.
Additionally, Isaac and Bonnie Chandler were inducted as members of the 2019-20 State 4-H Council. Isaac Chandler is serving as the Tennessee 4-H Speaker of the House and Bonnie Chandler is serving as the Junior Representative for the Eastern Region. During the closing State Council induction ceremony, Jordan Bowling retired her service as 2018-19 State All Star Chief.
